Gem & Tonic designer Barbara Laws is a traditionally trained third generation Goldsmith and creates all her pieces by hand.
This one of a kind coral lariat necklace has beautiful handmade tulip shaped brass elements at each end. And we love how you can effortless sling it round your neck and either tie it or leave it loose.
Coral lariat and brass
Everything we do at The Bias Cut is led by our core values of age-inclusivity and quality, slow, sustainable style. So when you shop with us you can trust you are supporting those values and are part of the movement to change the face of fashion to become a positive, inclusive one.
We carefully select our independent labels, ensuring they are aligned with our values. And we nurture enriched, long lasting relationships with them to ensure we bring you the most feel good, high quality pieces for your wardrobe, designed to be loved and last for years.
Gem & Tonic use Fairtrade gold and silver from licensed suppliers, whose full supply chain are audited to Fairtrade Gold Standards meaning the working conditions of miners are ethical and they are paid a fair price. Real gold and silver jewellery is per se sustainable as it can be melted down and reused. Jewellery is also up-cycled from customers who are no longer happy with it and bring it back to life. All gemstones are sourced where people and our planet are treated respectfully and responsibly.
As the designs are timeless which means they can be worn over and over again and even handed to the next generation. Not like fast fashion’s “trendy” jewellery which is poorly made and thrown away after a few wears, wasting resources and exposing the wearer and manufacturer to toxic materials.
