At The Bias Cut, we love a good celebration. But there’s one occasion we won’t celebrate: Black Friday. Until now.
No, we haven’t done a 180 on our values. We aren’t celebrating that Black Friday; we still refuse to engage with constant flash discounts that devalue the love and care behind our designs and, as a British boutique, we don’t believe it’s right to appropriate an US event purely for commercial purposes.
Instead, we’re reclaiming Black Friday as the day to love and wear black! Because, whilst you know we adore colour here at The Bias Cut, that doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate the beauty of black clothing. It's possibly the most versatile colour you can wear, and it exudes a sense of mystery and elegance. After all, as Christian Dior once said:
"“You can wear black at any time. You can wear it at any age. You may wear it for almost any occasion"
For us, the key to turning black from boring to beautiful lies in cut and texture. Unique design, shape and attention to detail transforms black pieces into sophisticated, luxurious pieces. And contrasting textures brings dynamism to any outfit.
