Jacynth London Athena 100% Cashmere Jumper
Exclusive to the-Bias-Cut.com, Jacynth London is our founder's new eponymous label.
The Athena is modern classic, contrasting sumptuous neutral coffee shades with a bold pop of orange. It features a V-Neck line, a batwing shape, and side slits for a flattering silhouette, whilst the 3-4 quarter length sleeves means it can be worn all year round, either layered or by itself. Easily dressed up with gold heels and tailored trousers, or down with jeans and white sneakers, it boasts instant wardrobe hero status. And it's just as well: crafted from butter soft highest quality cashmere, you'll never want to take it off.
The Athena has been created using a special Intarisa technique that requires high skill and the use of hand machines to create a perfect finish. As a result, this technique is rarely used - even by leading knitwear labels - due to the dedication required per garment. The luxury quality cashmere itself is made from the finest white and light grey fibre, and has been 'top' dyed to give it superior depth of shade and best final touch to the garment.
A grown-up, sophisticated design, the Athena is for today's discerning, modern woman. Complete the look with our matching Athena Hoop Earrings
Everything we do at The Bias Cut is led by our core values of age-inclusivity and quality, slow, sustainable style. So when you shop with us you can trust you are supporting those values and are part of the movement to change the face of fashion to become a positive, inclusive one.
We carefully select our independent labels, ensuring they are aligned with our values. And we nurture enriched, long lasting relationships with them to ensure we bring you the most feel good, high quality pieces for your wardrobe, designed to be loved and last for years.
Jacynth London has worked with a knitwear producer who has been at the forefront of ethical cashmere production for 20 years. The producer only deals in smaller quantity production so it can more tightly control the quality and sustainability of its sourcing.
Each garment has been made in Inner Mongolia at a small factory located no more than 100km away from the goat itself. Horrified by the unsustainable cashmere mass production for the high street, Jacynth has ensured each garment has been made by partner local yarn producers with more than 70 years experience between them sourcing the finest fire, and that the raw material itself is supplied by local goat farmers who maintain animal husbandry practices.
